Girardi | Keese: Champions of Justice

Since 1965, our law firm has served as a voice for people who have been injured. We are a plaintiffs' law firm. Our attorneys represent individuals and small businesses. We have never represented and will never represent a big company.

Our lawyers take pride in righting the wrongs our clients have endured.

In all of our practice areas, including intellectual property, we stand up for justice. For more than 40 years, when lawyers and staff start working at Girardi | Keese, they stay here. It is an environment where we feel we are on the right side of every case we take. If an inventor's patent was used by someone else, if an author's book was published under another name in violation of a copyright, if a business was harmed by unfair competition, we want to fight — and fight hard — for our client.

  • Protecting intellectual property is absolutely essential for small businesses and individuals, but the cost can be high. At Girardi | Keese, we have the financial and legal resources to do the job. All IP litigation cases are taken on contingency.
  • Bringing a team approach to cases is key to our success. Our firm takes the time to share our cases with each other so that we can gain from our collective wisdom — and win for our clients.
  • Providing a voice for small businesses and individuals isn't easy when that business is up against a giant company, but our lawyers have the experience and the finances to bring effective, winning cases against big companies with armies of lawyers.
  • Fighting in courtrooms takes dedication, passion and experience. At Girardi | Keese, we have trial lawyers with more than 100 trials to their credit. Eleven attorneys at our firm are members of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
  • Working with lawyer referrals adds to our strengths and effectiveness. When other attorneys refer cases to us, we invite them to be a part of the litigation team for that case.

If you would like to discuss an IP litigation case, contact us. We represent clients on a contingency basis in California and nationally.
